Fine Art
Barbara grew up in Minneapolis and Cuernavaca, Mexico—places that gave her
a lifelong love of sky-blue waters, colorful folk art, and imagination. Barbara
creates artwork using a range of media—including oil paint on roofing felt!
Her artwork points to narratives of beauty and mystery that reveal the
transcendent, a divine world touching our own. She is most inspired by the
sacred art of Fra Angelico and the magical realism of Marc Chagall, where
people and animals dance together and “all the air has wings.”[1]
Barbara delights to create images of beauty from ordinary life,
and from her travels to foreign lands..
